Beata is a founder of the Restore Psychotherapy. She has over 20 years experience in the rehabilitation industry. Initially working as a physiotherapist, Beata has worked in a variety of clinical settings which provides her with an in depth understanding of the body. Beata continued her journey in the filed of psychology. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto, a Clinical Behavioural Sciences Graduate Diploma from the McMaster University, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the Yorkville University.
Beata is now a Registered Psychotherapist RP with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and Certified Clinical Traumatologist. She completed her counselling internship with the Ministry of Solicitor General at a local Detention Centre assisting clients who experience psychosocial challenges, trauma, have been victims of sexual abuse, sexual offenders, PTSD, addictions. She also worked with military veterans and clients experiencing complex issues including mental health, homelessness, social exclusion, and involved in the criminal justice system.
Beata studied Disability Management at the Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Sciences. She is a Certified Disability Management Proffesional (CDMP) with the National Institute of Disability Management and Research (NIDMAR) and a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP). Beata possesses unique understanding for the Body-Mind connection and an ability to provide a true biopsychosocial approach to case management and counselling.
Beata is a Registered Psychotherapist and serves on the Board of Directors with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). With a foundation in physical rehabilitation and a deep passion for the science and art of psychology, Beata integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches to help clients heal, grow, and thrive after trauma.
Her clinical work focuses on rehabilitation, post-traumatic growth, chronic pain, and the mind-body connection, serving first responders, individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents (MVA), workplace injuries (WSIB), and disability-related challenges.
Drawing on modalities such as Emotion-Focused Therapy, CBT, ACT, SFBT, and ISTDP, Beata’s approach emphasizes resilience, empowerment, and sustainable return to work — guiding clients from crisis toward confidence and renewed purpose.
Beata has extensive experience working within specialized First Responder Mental Health Programs through WSIB and in private practice, providing evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of police, firefighters, paramedics, corrections staff, and other emergency personnel.
She also provides services funded by Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), offering support to military members and veterans navigating trauma, operational stress injuries, and post-traumatic growth.
With a background in rehabilitation and trauma recovery, Beata integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy, CBT, ACT, SFBT, and ISTDP to promote resilience, recovery, and sustainable return to work. Her approach bridges the mind-body connection, helping clients restore balance, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with meaning after adversity.
